26-30 May 2008

27 May -- Day 2

Today the facilitators led the group through several exercises to help us discover the values that will guide DDP in the formation of a plan and action steps.

One of the small groups discusses the values they want to see honored in DDP's Strategic Plan.
Each of the small groups contains staff and students, hearing and deaf people, and a sign language interpreter to keep the conversations understandable.
The groups are chosen randomly, usually by "counting off". This group is a bit unusual in that the large majority of the participants are deaf.
Group 1 did manage to get everyone on the paper and all the feet either on the paper or off the floor, but they were not able to capture their success on camera!
Group 2's attempt at the Paper Standing Game ended with bodies all over the floor, but luckily they were all still laughing.
