Welcome to Kimberly Banks

Kimberly Banks

Kimberly Banks is an American Sign Language interpreter who came on short notice to Cambodia to interpret for Megan Youngs, a deaf woman who is training the DDP teachers in deaf education.  Kim watches Megan's American Sign Language and voices the meaning in spoken English.  Another interpreter then interprets the spoken English into spoken Khmer language which the teachers understand.  And, of course, Kim also goes from spoken English into ASL for Megan.  Kim arrived Sunday from Canada and has already settled well into the routine at the Deaf Development Program office.  Welcome, Kim!
