Deaf Community Development Activity
in Svay Rieng Province
4 December 2005

Because there are no deaf organizations in Cambodia, the Deaf Development Program is encouraging the creation of groups of deaf people in provinces around the country.  Eventually they will form the basis of a national deaf association but in the meantime they are the seed bed for growing Cambodian deaf leaders.

DDP staff and Charlie Dittmeier traveled to Svay Rieng province on Saturday, 3 December--after the celebration of the International Day for Disabled Persons--for a Sunday morning activity and for a photo session with a deaf girl for Maryknoll magazine.

Here are photos and descriptions of the events!
