Maryknoll magazine is doing a series on young people on different continents and asked me to take the photos for a focus on a girl in Asia. The editors thought one of the deaf girls in our program would be appropriate, so last weekend we went to one of the provinces and photographed Sophea with the deaf group and at her home.
