Visit to Phally--Her Village

18 March 2005

One of our deaf teachers died last month and his deaf widow went to live temporarily with an older sister in Kandal province. We told her that we would come to visit to see how she was doing, and today four of us made the trip by motorcycle and taxi. Liza Clews (program advisor), Peng Sinoun (sign language interpreter), and Charlie Dittmeier (project director) were accompanied by Amy Szarkowski, a psychologist who teaches in Japan and works with deaf people there.
