At the end of July, we had a Buddhist blessing of the new DDP office building, with four monks presiding, to fit in with the culture. Today we had a Catholic blessing led by Fr. Charlie Dittmeier. The intent was not to counterbalance the Buddhist ceremony but rather to use the opportunity to give our students and staff an insight into Christianity. None of them are Christians and they know nothing about the followers of Jesus, or even who Jesus is.
