First Day of Teaching11 January 2006 |
Megan Youngs, who is deaf, uses an American Sign Language interpreter. Before the arrival of her formal interpreter, Megan is using Liza Clews, our program advisor and interpreter trainer. |
Megan is working with ten teacher trainees. Today her plan was to get to know them and to start developing good communications with them. Here she watches as a student responds. |
A TV crew was at DDP today to film a documentary about sign language in Cambodia, and hearing about Megan, they decided to film her also. |
Megan led several different activities to illustrate the difficulty of communications and the importance of different viewpoints. |
