Street Repair at DDP Office

4 November 2005

The Deaf Development Program office is on Street 113, the same street as the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the site where the Khmer Rouge tortured all their prisoners before taking them to the killing fields.  Tourists and locals alike have always marveled at why the government did not pave the street leading to the only tourist attraction in Phnom Penh other than the Royal Palace complex.  Suddenly today, an excavator appeared on Street 113 and removed the top eighteen inches of potholes.  What is next?  Who knows...  The municipality may pave the street.  They may just leave it a muddy mess.
