APCD Visit to DDP
22 November 2007

APCD visitors at Deaf Community Center Yesterday the Asia-Pacific Center for Development of Disabilities organized a workshop in Phnom Penh to learn the problems and situation of deaf people in Cambodia. Today the workshop organizers visited the DDP offices and classrooms and then came here to the DDP Deaf Community Center which is open on weekends.
In the DDP House hostel The group took a quick look at DDP House, a hostel on the same property as the community center. Usually about 20 young deaf adults from the provinces live here while in job training.
Group photo at end of visit At the end of the visit, everyone paused for a quick group photo. Today there was only one deaf resident at the hostel. All the others had returned home for the Water Festival which begins tomorrow.
